Rescue a ferret
If you have it in your heart, there are many free or adoptable ferrets in your area that are in need of a good home. Sadly, too many ferrets are bought for the novelty of it, the novelty wears off (and cleaning is required) and the ferrets are left unwanted. Once you understand how loving these animals can be, this will break your heart.

Welcome to ferret parenting ! You will find that they are the most curious, affectionate and entertaining little critters on the Earth.
After you get used to 1 ferret (and his messes), you will probably want to get a 2nd ferret. Ferrets are such social creatures, it is nice to have a 2nd one around for their companionship. You will quickly see that doubling the ferrets = at least twice as much fun !
